Transfered!!!!!!!; December 6, 2010

Yebo Sawubona!!!

I am doing good, I got some exciting news! I GOT TRANSFERED! Crazy right. So i am now serving in........ Nseleni which is another small township by Richards Bay! The place is very small and i've been here 4 days about and the people are really kool. I've been told that in a few months this place is going to get really hot, this is the hottest place in the whole mission. There are so many trees so i haven't seen the beach yet, but i probably will soonish i hope. We also might go to a game reserve and see some sweet animals this transfer, probably after Christmas.
My new companion is Elder Hall, he is also from South Africa, so thats 3 South African companions, so thats pretty kool. He is a way kool guy, he is white, he is from Petoria. He has only been out 6 weeks, so that makes me a step trainer, cuz he needs to finish his training for a few weeks. Its kinda crazy that i am with someone younger then me on mission but its kool.
Anyway thats all that is really going on here, i am still working on printing pictures but its kinda excpensive so it takes time but i will send them soon.
Wow a lot of stuff is goin down back home. Sorry o hear that some bad stuff is goin down, but i hope besides that, that you are doing well.
Oh ya, so there will be no more transfer meetings, so when we get transfered that means we have to take buses and planes to get around instead of driving, so with that i will have to send half of my stuff home if i get moved again, only if its far away from Durban so i hope i stay here for the rest of my mission haha, but we will see.
But so everything is going well. Im starting all over again it feels like, but i feel up to the challenge, we will see how it goes.
In closing i just miss you and want you to know how much i love you and how much i love the work and spreading the gospel to the lost sheep of South Africa and sometimes it gets overwhelming because there is so many lost sheep here but all i can do is keep moving and keep working hard. I love you so much.

Yebo! Sawubona!

Howzit? Things are goin well.
Are baptismal font is sorta like the one you have, its not as nice, but im not complaining. The font is in our church building so we don't have to go anywhere special. Which is nice. World Wide training? Nope i have no idea what that is. We are watching a South East South Africa broadcast next Sunday. That should be pretty kool. My testimony is growing. The mission is going well. Sometimes it is really hard and stressful and then other days it goes perfect.
The work is going well, i think i told you we had a baptism last Sunday the 7th for Sandile and yesterday he was confirmed. It was amazing, also he has a friend who is interested and hopefully we can start teaching him as well.
All is well here. I love hearing from you. I hope all is well back at home.

8-ta (whats up the slang version)

Things in South Africa are fine. Im getting use to things, i know
where some things are and how to get there. Exciting news, we had a
baptism yesterday for a 16 year old guy. His name is Sandile and we
have been teaching him for a long time so it was awesome to baptize
him. Normaly i get a lil nervous when i do the baptism but this time i
wasn't nervous at all and it went perfectly!! :)
Don't worry, its all good, it was just a lil weird not getting an
email but no worries.
I haven't seen the Cox but i know them, they stay in Durban so maybe i
will get transfered there and i can meet them.
Laundry- well we have a washing machine, but no dryer, so we have to
hang our clothes but its all good. My new companion is good, he is
working on getting his license, he is learning the area really fast to
i have no worries when i get transfered.
My meeting with President Von Stetten went well, it was nice and
short, no problems. I don't see him a lot because we are so far away
from Durban.
My money is good, no problems. I am taking pictures, ill send some
home before christmas.
I can't really think of anything i need for chirstmas. So just what
ever is kool.
I do want to see a picture of Casey as the airbender d00d. That is so kool!!!!
But all is well here in South Africa i hope everyone is happy and
healthy back home.
I love you all so much. Take care.

Transfer Week: Oct 25, 2010

Yebo Sawubona!

I am doing great! I didn't get transfered so i am still in Madadeni!
SNOW! haha thats crazy. We also got pounded with rain we got hit with a hail storm yesterday as well. It is going to be so weird to not see snow in December, but oh well, this is a new experience and i look forward for it.
Josh got home, that is kool. Ward programs? What do you mean? We have a strong relief society, and young woman. Are young men need some work and our elders quorum needs a lot of help, but we are working very hard on improving that. The branch is good, just the leadership is not organized and it gets a lil frustrating but i am learning to not worry about that too much and just focus on the people we teach. I have not had to speak in sacrament yet.
I think South Africa does have a Halloween but its not big i imagine and i bet people here in township don't even know what that is but we will see. I will let you know if anything exciting happens on Halloween.
That is good that the family is doing well, that everybody seems to be busy that is good.
Well things here in South Africa are going good, yesterday we watched 2 sessions of General Conference and it was awesome, this conference has been way good so far and i look forward to next Sunday when we get to finish it. The work is going good, the teaching is improving, the Zulu is improving as well, i love it! :)
There is nothing new and exciting to report, i have a interview with President Von Stetten on Tuesday so i look forward to that, he is so amazing. He looks like he could be a General Authority in my opinion. But ya all is well. I can't really think of anything that i need you to send me. Just some great food and love! :)
all is well.
i love you and miss you so much.

Yebo Sawubona!

I am doing great, i had such a wonderful week that ended on a beautiful note with a baptism. The baptism was for Ma Nkosi the wife of baba nkosi who got baptized on the 3rd. ma asked me to perform the ordinance and it was an amazing experience.
Cooking, well i cook a lil, just noodles and this sauce stuff which is pretty easy to make. And of course i have my microwave meals, they don't have a good selection like home but they have a few. They store we go to is called Pick n Pay, its kinda like smiths but smaller and for clothes if i needed i would go to Mr. Price or Eddies.
Well each week we do pretty much the same thing, we do are morning preparations and study, then we eat lunch and then go to the area, which is about a 25 minute drive away. In the area we have a big teaching pool so we have appointments pretty much the whole day.
I make my bed every morning, i am the only elder in my boarding that does the dishes and cleans, so you should be proud you raised a clean missionary! :)
We don't really track, we contact a lot of people on the street and just walking, we walk a lot so we see a ton of people, but we do a lil tracking if we need to.
The teaching is good, i love it so much.
No kool animals yet, just a bunch of cows and goats walking around. We have seen some really big ones, and i mean really big!
I sent a lil letter to the Marvive family i hope they get it. I will probably send some pictures home soon.
Oh ya some exciting news, i might get transfered, but im not 100% if i will, i will find out tonight and i will let you know next week.
But all is good here, i got a good computer today so i am very happy :)
I love South Africa i love the work i love the gospel, i am growing so much here.
I love you so much, i hope everything is going well, tell the family and the ward members hi for me.

Sawubona Ma & Pa

I am doing very well. Lots of ups and downs but i am learning and growing from them. You are so lucky you get to watch conference live, we have to wait, and i don't even know how long. Pretty crazy how i used to not like conference and now im sad because i can't watch it. It has been Kuyashisa here as well. Kuyashisa means its hot. We might get some rain today as well, i really hope we do because it is so dusty.
Ah you got sick, thats not good, i hope you get better very soon.
haha BYU lost to USU haha that is so awesome. I really wish i could watch these games.
Ya i am learning stick, i am getting pretty good at it. Sometimes i mess up but thats how you learn right. We don't have a car but the other elders who stay in our apartment have one and it is just a Chevy Aveo. Thats all the mission has, the aveo and the senior couples have a Nisson Tida, which we don't have back in the states. Some areas have trucks, here they are called buckies. The buckies are really kool they are Nissons and they are really kool lookin, and i hope when i get transfered i can get one. I might get transfered soon here too but im not sure. I am still here in Madadeni and i love it so much. We don't have to do anything in the branch, but the branch needs a lot of help.
Yesterday we had a baptism for Baba Nkosi, it was amazing, i was so happy to see him get baptized by his father our Branch Pres.
I am healthy, my contacts are good, the only thing is i can only get a month out of them before they get all blurry and i have to change them.
But all is well.
I love you and miss you so much.
